This is the tale of my battle against morbid obesity. I have a husband that supports me no matter what crazy idea I've conjured up, an 18-year old daughter, a 15-year old daughter, and a 13 -year old son. I have a full-time job at The Medical College of WI. I am blessed to have amazing family and friends. I have so much to live for so I'm going to slay this demon and live happily ever after!

217 - Not what I was hoping for, but the scale's headed in the right direction.  Obviously, I'm a huge Biggest Loser fan because that totally sounds like something one of the contestants would say.  I have my first post-op appt on Monday, so we'll see what Dr. Wallace has to say.  And trust me - he will say something! This guy doesn't mince words.  I'm actually kind of afraid of him.

I'm hoping for a much less chaotic week coming up.  I have been able to take care of my needs, but the stress of the rest of my peeps has been exhausting.  Brooke's diagnoses of Patellar Femoral Pain Syndrome, Taylor's passing out at Cool Waters, and Reilly's need for speed - or whatever Par-Cor entails.  (He's definitely living in the Danger Zone.)  There was also the uneasiness of Taylor's driver's exam.  Yeah!  She passed.  Today, I'm taking Reilly to an orthopedic surgeon at Children's Hospital.

On the upside - I have a relaxing walk every night after dinner with my husband.  That's what I look forward to all day.  :)

It's been two weeks since surgery.  Overall, my health is improving everyday.  That's why I'm doing this.
