This is the tale of my battle against morbid obesity. I have a husband that supports me no matter what crazy idea I've conjured up, an 18-year old daughter, a 15-year old daughter, and a 13 -year old son. I have a full-time job at The Medical College of WI. I am blessed to have amazing family and friends. I have so much to live for so I'm going to slay this demon and live happily ever after!

189 - (big smiley face)  The kind of sad part is that I missed the 50 pound mark by 1 pound.  Oh well.

It's been a crazy week with getting ready to go back to school.  I had orientation and I went to get my books.  Sounds pretty easy, right?  Not so much.  To make a stressful story short, I forgot to sign a piece of paper and was de-registered from my classes, but I didn't find out until I was checking out at the bookstore.  It was pretty much like having to start over. All of the core classes were filled so I had to pick some new ones for first semester.  I'll be taking keyboarding and medical terminology as electives - hoping I can pass those without too much probs.  I was able to register for my Friday night/Saturday morning Chemistry class, but I'm the only person in the class at this point.  I'm sure it's going to get dropped from my schedule.  That will suck; putting me a semester behind.

My nephew left for college on Monday - all the way to sunny Arizona.  It's so surreal.  I'm happy for him to have such a fantastic opportunity, but I hope my kids stay a little closer to home.  Good luck Joel!
