This is the tale of my battle against morbid obesity. I have a husband that supports me no matter what crazy idea I've conjured up, an 18-year old daughter, a 15-year old daughter, and a 13 -year old son. I have a full-time job at The Medical College of WI. I am blessed to have amazing family and friends. I have so much to live for so I'm going to slay this demon and live happily ever after!

183 - It was 55 pounds ago that this all started.  I feel so much better, and happier than I have in a very long time.  A huge thanks to Jim for all of his support; my after-dinner walking buddy, and a wonderful sounding board.  I've still got about 58 pounds to go to meet my goal, so I'm getting there.

I had my first two Chemistry classes last week.  Everything was syncing and I was feeling pretty good . . . until I opened my book yesterday to start studying for Saturday's quiz.  I immediately felt like I did in junior high and high school when I was meeting with my math tutor everyday.  I was frustrated and on the verge of tears (in both scenarios).  Jim sat down and tried to help me sort things out.  We got through it, but I'm not feeling very confident at this point.  Hopefully he'll have time to help me again tonight.  I've got a review in class tomorrow, and then 8:30 Saturday morning will be the hour of reckoning.  And, did I mention I got a parking ticket at school last week?  UGH!!!

Construction has started on the third floor.  This is going to be a long 6 weeks!
