This is the tale of my battle against morbid obesity. I have a husband that supports me no matter what crazy idea I've conjured up, an 18-year old daughter, a 15-year old daughter, and a 13 -year old son. I have a full-time job at The Medical College of WI. I am blessed to have amazing family and friends. I have so much to live for so I'm going to slay this demon and live happily ever after!

167 - Now, that's what I'm talking about!!!  6 pounds in one week.  (BIG smiley face)  I have a feeling it was all of the positive feedback I got on Thanksgiving.  Thanks fam!  Either that or all of the Black Thursday/Friday walking.

Yesterday was the first time I've worn nylons in forever.  I cannot remember the last time I didn't work up a sweat putting those things on.  What a relief; not feeling like my thighs were being attacked by a boa constrictor.

Amidst the weekend spending I also found time to purge my wardrobe of the things that no longer fit.  I felt a myriad of emotions; embarrassment, guilt and then joy.  I felt so ashamed of how I must have looked when those pants, shirts, skirts, sweaters, and even shoes fit me, shameful that I had spent that much money on myself (presumably, trying to compensate for my weight) and pure bliss knowing I will never, ever, ever be getting back together with that stuff.  I just love Taylor Swift.  :)

A big thanks to Jim for putting up the tree on Saturday night.  Reilly and I decorated it on Sunday, and it looks fabulous.  Reilly is definitely my best helper.  He carried the majority of the holiday decoration containers up from the basement for me; including Santa's body bag.  Thanks boys!!!  Each of the children made a derogatory comment about Santa.  He is getting a little worn.  I'm sad, but I think after this year he'll be put to rest.  Or, maybe I'll store him and someday one of the kids will realize how awesome he really is.
