This is the tale of my battle against morbid obesity. I have a husband that supports me no matter what crazy idea I've conjured up, an 18-year old daughter, a 15-year old daughter, and a 13 -year old son. I have a full-time job at The Medical College of WI. I am blessed to have amazing family and friends. I have so much to live for so I'm going to slay this demon and live happily ever after!

161 - I had my 9-month post-op appointment yesterday - with Dr. Wallace and his nurse practitioner.  I was so nervous!  Great news; my labs were all good.  My blood pressure was a little higher than normal, but probably due to my anxiety.  He was ecstatic about my success thus far - suggesting I could be the poster child for bariatric surgery.  It was a really good visit.

Then there's me - not losing as consistently as I'd like to be.  So, I'm going back to day one and I'm going to start tracking my food again.  I'm probably not getting enough protein.  Truth be told, that's when I stopped drinking milk.  Another theory I hope to disprove.

Here's a big surprise:  The back door isn't in yet.  Maybe tomorrow.  Maybe . . .
