This is the tale of my battle against morbid obesity. I have a husband that supports me no matter what crazy idea I've conjured up, an 18-year old daughter, a 15-year old daughter, and a 13 -year old son. I have a full-time job at The Medical College of WI. I am blessed to have amazing family and friends. I have so much to live for so I'm going to slay this demon and live happily ever after!

159 - I'm getting stressed, very stressed.  I've got the Weight Loss Gods and Mother Nature plotting against me this time - and probably Papa John too.  I've been stuck at this weight for four weeks.  The past week we had some fabulous weather.  Jim and I went to the Hart Park track a couple of times and ran/walked a mile each time, and then tackled the bleachers; up, down, up, down, up, down, etc.  That's in addition to my walks.  Now, we've got ultra-crappy weather and I want to go to the track!!!  Yesterday we had a lunch at work celebrating Patient Access Week (probably created by some jealous schmuck that feels like nurses get all the attention).  Anyway, our supervisors and managers sprung for an unbelievable lunch of Papa John's pizza, salad, soda and more desserts that Mrs. Fields could fathom.  I had a salad . . . and a slice of pizza (minus the crust).  OMG; I thought I was going to explode.  Thinking back, I wish I would have.  The pain was intense.  Try to imagine one of those creatures that you put in water and it octuples in size.  That's how my pouch was feeling.  Not cool.  Moral of the story,  no salad with my Papa John's pizza.  (just kidding)

Taylor's home from Florida, looking all tan and healthy.  It's so nice to have her back!  Today is a big day for her.  She's doing a job shadow at Roosevelt Elementary School with Mrs. Niemoeller, the Junior Kindergarten teacher that each of the kids had all those years ago.  Taylor's considering elementary education for a career and wants to test the waters.

Mother Nature isn't cooperating with Brooke and Reilly either.  Brooke was supposed to have her first outdoor soccer practice last night, but that was cancelled.  Reilly hasn't had baseball practice since Sunday and has his first scrimmage next Wednesday.

Reilly's doing well with his contacts.  We call him "The Eye Doctor".  If you watch Survivor, then you're familiar with Phillip's titles for the people in his alliance.  Somehow, that came up while we were watching the show last night.

Here's to a better week!
