This is the tale of my battle against morbid obesity. I have a husband that supports me no matter what crazy idea I've conjured up, an 18-year old daughter, a 15-year old daughter, and a 13 -year old son. I have a full-time job at The Medical College of WI. I am blessed to have amazing family and friends. I have so much to live for so I'm going to slay this demon and live happily ever after!

198 - I guess this is what they call One-derland!!!  I'm so happy!  I don't remember being below 200 pounds for at least 10 years.  Yay me!!!  I had my two-month follow-up yesterday.  My blood pressure is going down with every visit, so I can start weaning from my bp medication.  That's more good news since I hate taking pills almost as much as I hate drinking milk. The not-so-good-news:  I shouldn't be eating popcorn.  It's kind of been my go-to meal during this hot weather when I don't feel like eating anything else.  It doesn't have enough protein, so it's not a good choice.  I'll have to work on that.

I'm officially back to work full-time . . . and then some.  I've committed to working overtime in preparation of our "go-live" with the new software system.  As much as I would rather be at home with Jim and the kids, I've found that work gives my day a bit more structure.  10am is milk break, and I complain about it every day.  1pm is lunch - and 1/2 an hour just isn't enough for me, but I'll have to deal with it.

I've been up since 3am today.  I've got visions of remodeling dancing in my head.  We had a contractor come over last night to take a look at our 3rd floor.  For anyone that's been up there, you know it needs some major TLC.  I'm thinking:  in with the Master Sanctuary; out with the Northwoods.  Currently we've got two areas up there.  We've got plans drawn up already to incorporate the master bedroom, a 1/2 bath, Nicole's walk-in closet (ha), and a work area for exercising, scrapbooking, wrapping, crafting, etc.  I'm already overwhelmed, and we haven't even gotten the estimate yet.

Have a great week!
