This is the tale of my battle against morbid obesity. I have a husband that supports me no matter what crazy idea I've conjured up, an 18-year old daughter, a 15-year old daughter, and a 13 -year old son. I have a full-time job at The Medical College of WI. I am blessed to have amazing family and friends. I have so much to live for so I'm going to slay this demon and live happily ever after!

181 - What a week it's been!  Weight wise - I've just been keeping doing what I've been doing.  For anyone that has seen me lately, you know my biggest post-op issue right now is my impending baldness.  I can actually feel my hair falling out.  Very weird.  I started taking Biotin a couple of days ago.  It's supposed to help.  A fellow GB pt told me it worked for her, but when her hair came back in, it was curly.  Wouldn't that be something?!?

No parking ticket at school last weekend.  Whew!  It's hard to park for 7 hours, when it's only 2 hour parking around there.  I passed my first quiz with an 87.5% and pulled off a 100% on my first lab.  Hopefully I can do as well with this week's assignments.  At this point, I've studied more for three classes than all of my kids for all of their classes.

Construction continues, but not without a few issues.  Jim and I got home from our walk on Tuesday night to hear Taylor ask "Was I not supposed to shower?"  Interesting question, since the plumber plumbed the 3rd floor bathroom earlier that day.  Apparently the shower on the first floor wasn't draining, and eventually was over the lip on the shower, and spilled out onto the floor, and ran into the kitchen, and then into the dining room.  The water is flowing and Brooke decides to take a shower on the 2nd floor.  That caused more water to come out of the 1st floor bath.  Obviously, we have a problem.  Jim calls the plumber and he says we'll need to have someone come out and do the roto-rooter thing, since sediment probably caused a blockage in the pipes.  Nearly 2 hours and $300 later our floors are dry and our pipes are clear.

Reilly tried out for the traveling middle school baseball team on Sunday.  Good news on Tuesday night (after the plumbing fiasco).  He made the team and they'll start practicing in January.  Yay RT!
