This is the tale of my battle against morbid obesity. I have a husband that supports me no matter what crazy idea I've conjured up, an 18-year old daughter, a 15-year old daughter, and a 13 -year old son. I have a full-time job at The Medical College of WI. I am blessed to have amazing family and friends. I have so much to live for so I'm going to slay this demon and live happily ever after!

178 - Good-bye 180's!!!  It's been a good week, and meeting with my dietician definitely helped.  She just gave me a few tips; implementing 1/2 oz of almonds every day to boost my good cholesterol, adding 15 minutes to my daily walk, and continuing to do what I'm doing.  :)  She also confirmed that I need to break up with my current primary care doctor.  It's a little scary since we've been together for about 12 years.  I'm sure I can find someone closer to home, since she's way out in Pewaukee.

Reilly had a spectacular football game last weekend.  He had an interception and four solo tackles.  Unfortunately, it was a loss for the team, but Reilly came away with a Crunch bar - the weekly award for the team's MVP.  It's the first time he's gotten one since he started playing last fall, so it was very exciting.  Hopefully the coaches have recognized he's worthy of getting some ball time.

Taylor had Homecoming on Saturday.  She went with a bunch of girlfriends and looked absolutely stunning (as usual).

Two soccer games for Brooke last weekend; zero wins.  :(

I got a Chemistry tutor.  It's my last resort in an effort to continue being the star student in my class.  My first meeting with him is next Monday (my birthday) from 6-7pm.  If you know me, you know Mondays are not my best day for dealing with people once my work day ends.  Must be the old age; finally getting my priorities figured out.  If I was still in my 20's and going to school I'd just drop this class.  Seriously.

Construction continues - kind of.  There hasn't been much progress this week.  The insulation contractors are having equipment malfunction issues, and that's holding up the drywall guys.  Some day this will all be over.

  1. I saw some pictures from Homecoming of Taylor and agree she looked fabulous...and too old! I also thought you (even in sweatshirt jacket and jeans) looked great too! :)
